The grand staircase at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel is an iconic location for romantic wedding photography. In this image, Joe is down on the ground level while Mirta was at the top of the staircase shooting down. We love it when we can maximize our portrait time by shooting from two different vantage points, thereby achieving very different effects from the same set up. Care was taken to arrange the bride's full skirt around her and up the stairs, to add a sense of drama and movement to the image, which was especially effective when viewed from above. The more neutral color palette in this shot allows full attention to be drawn to the sweet embrace of the bride and groom.
