The color white symbolizes purity and cleanliness, so it's no wonder that it's a favored choice for skin care packaging, like this bottle we recently featured in a product photography session at our Southern California studio. This item doesn't have the mirror like surfaces or transparent qualities that can be challenging to photograph. However, when photographing white on white, there has to be plenty of "separation" between the subject and background to make the item stand out, even if the image is printed with less than perfect print quality. By using using glossy white plexiglass as a surface, we also achieved a slight reflection that lends dimensionality and depth, and calls to mind the clean pools of water one might use to wash up.
