The senior partners of this Los Angeles Law firm wanted to update the photos on their website to include a more approachable and friendly feeling. We accomplished this in several ways. First, using a large window in a conference room as a backdrop still feels business oriented but has a more open and expansive feel. Care was taken to "balance" the morning light outside the building with studio lights, to avoid unwanted reflections and keep the subjects warm smiles the central focus. The partners also opted to not wear ties in this shot, which added to the less formal vibe they were going for. During any given shoot, we can provide guidance on how to achieve moods from formal to casual, so when a client peruses their online gallery and selects portraits for retouching, they can choose ones truly befitting the image they want to share with the world.
