We photographed this oldest child alone environmental portrait at a hiking park in Coto de Caza, Orange County, California. At Barnet Photography we like to do as many combinations and subgroups as possible during a family portrait session, especially if it is outdoors. We also like to have the children interact with each other, play and walk around. In addition to the traditional posed portraits we like to create what we call "posed candid" images. This are loosely posed groups in the best locations with the best light and background, then we encourage the family members to interact a little, not necessarily look at the camera, make eye contact with each other etc. We shoot more during this parts of our sessions, but the images we create this way look very natural.
Location: Wilderness park in South Orange County, California.
